The Soap Tub Supplies a range of top quality melt and pour glycerine soapbases, speciality soap bases, solid shampoos and shaving soap. The products we supply are made by the worlds LEADING speciality soap maker. When buying soap base ensure you have a top quality product, some have less clarity and do not produce the same results or versatility, many also have some of the moisturizing glycerine removed. We ONLY supply the TOP GRADE products as we know how important it is that your product achieves the excellence you are aiming for and has an outstanding shelf life and fragrance results.

Our crystal clear vegetable glycerin soap base is made from only the highest quality natural vegetable oils. This is highly transparent soap base; cheaper soap bases often only achieve a translucent quality rather than a clear effect.

It's so easy to make your own beautiful soaps - for personal use, as gifts, or to explore as a hobby or business opportunity. Your own soaps can be made in less time than it takes to make dinner!! You don't even need lots of expensive equipment, it melts very simply in a double boiler or in the microwave or a rice cooker.

White or Opaque Soap Base.

The white or opaque soapbase is exactly the same as the clear but has been coloured with an inert salt to make it white. It can be used as a contrast soap embedded within the clear or entirely on it's own. It looks fabulous with botanical ingredients and the rustic and organic style bars.

A beautiful warm golden colour with plenty of natural pure honey in the soapbase.

Clear Aloe Vera Soap Base:

Opaque Cocoa Butter Soap Base

A deliciously creamy soapbase enriched with lashings of cocoa butter.

Clear M&P Solid Shampoo Base

Our Solid Shampoo base is made from high quality vegetable oils. This specially formulated shampoo base crates a wonderfully dense creamy lather, which is naturally conditioning to the hair. It is also ideal to use as a shaving soap. It is not totally transparent but still has good clarity and is excellent for layering or embedding.

How do I use it? Melt the base, add your colour, fragrances or any other additives and leave to set. Then wet the hair, rub shampoo bar around the head 3 or 4 times, lather and rinse!

It is also environmentally friendly as you are not wasting bottles and packaging and paying for water to be shipped around the country

Clear Glycerine Shaving Soap Base

This shaving base is exclusively available from The Soap Tub. Simply melt the base in a double boiler or microwave and pour into a suitable container for shaving. Why not try a ceramic dish, a glazed terracotta pot or even a hulled out coconut shell. Make a tube of shaving soap, slice it, wrap it and then pop into the metal tins for a really stunning packaging look. Shaving brushes also available for just 75p.

The shaving soap is full of moisturising emollients and makes a thick rich creamy lather and lasts absolutely ages! A little goes a long way.

Luxury Cream Soap Base or Foaming Body Base (also known as the "Ice Cream" Soap Base).

This is a brand new product, specially made for The Soap Tub customers. It is a beautifully foaming thick cream soap which leaves the skin feeling silky soft. It is really easy to use: simply melt in the same way as any melt and pour glycerine soap base but on a very low heat. Add in colour, fragrance oil or essential oils and any additional botanicals or scrubby items such as pumice powder and pour into pots or preserving jars etc. The versatility of this luxury cream soap is amazing, it brings a whole new dimension to soapers: Please note that you should decant to this product to a jar - it is not a solid soap base so it will not set in a mould.
