Bath Bomb Ingredients

Citric Acid

As detailed below, this is a key ingredient when making bath bombs, fizzy bath dust, bath meringues and muffins to mention a few. See below for general quantities.

Sodium Bicarbonate

One of the key ingredients in bath bombs, fizzy bath dust, bath meringue and muffins. Generally you can use anything from 4 parts sodium bicarbonate to 1 part citric acid. For a really good fizzy mix you can use 2 parts sodium bicarbonate to 1 part citric acid.

Do you certification / safety assessment for your bath fizzy products?

New Recipe for you To Try!

Why not make an innovative and unusual bath bomb egg!

Sandalwood & Rooibos Bath Bomb Recipe

650g Sodium Bicarbonate
350g Citric Acid
1 Tablespoon Rooibos Leaves
10ml Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
2 Halves of the Egg Bath Bomb Mould
Very Strong Instant Liquid Coffee to Colour:
(Take 1 – 2 teaspoons of coffee granules and mix with 1 teaspoon hot water)

Instructions: Make bath bomb mix as usual and add in the sandalwood fragrance oil and the rooibos leaves.  Do not mist with water or witch hazel as you would do usually, but instead replace this by using the very strong coffee as your liquid to bind the bath bombs.  Only use enough of the coffee to create your usual texture.  Mould as normal.  This will give you a fabulous natural brown colour to your project.
