How to Make a Herbal Tea
- Pour 500 ml of boiling water over 25g
of dried herbs (double the amount if using fresh)or botanicals and allow it
to infuse for 3–5 minutes or 5-10 minutes for roots, barks, and other
hard botanical material.
- Your infused teas can be used in the bath,
as a nail soak, as a foot soaks or bath, hair rinses, wetting agents for facials,
as a toner, a gentle skin wash for irritated skin, or of course for taking
internally.
- Teas can also replace water in skin care formulations
however care must be taken, as with all cosmetic products made with water,
to preserve your finished product properly.
- Seek advise if in doubt.
- Always check that the herb/botanical is suitable
for the purpose being used for.
- If in any doubt always seek medical/therapist
adice.
Safety First! Always label your bottles
and ensure that they are out of reach of children.
