How To Make a Herbal Tincture and Herb vinegars

• Place 150g of dried herbs in a large glass jar.
• Pour about 300 ml of vodka over the herbs and then add about 600 ml of water.
• Mix and then let it sit in a dark cool place.
• Shake the bottle every so often for 2 weeks.
• After 2 weeks, strain the liquid through a fine cheesecloth into a dark amber glass bottle.
• Tinctures can be used to make balms, creams, lotions, salves, toners, etc.

To make a calendula, lavender, chamomile or other herbal cream, replace the water with 1 part water and 1 part tincture.
To make a herbal vinegar tincture, simply follow the same directions as above but replace the vodka element with a good quality vinegar.

Safety First! Always label your bottles and ensure that they are out of reach of children.
